EquineUnlimited owner Heidi Arnado is a Certified Equine Appraiser who received her certification from the American Society of Equine Appraisers. Heidi upholds the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, as well as the Code of Ethics. Equine Appraisal is a process of gathering information, experience and knowledge of the markets and the proper identification of the horse. The appraisals that I do are written legal documents with a backing of research that I do on each horse.

Heidi Arnado is a very experienced horsewoman, having been riding for over 30 years and just about born on a horse. She has been showing horses since the age of four. She has bred, raised, trained and showed top quality horses. Her love and dedication to horses has made her an expert in both English and Western disciplines. She has competed in Western Pleasure and Equitation, English Pleasure and Equitation, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Parading, Hunter Jumping, Halter, and Trail Classes. She has won numerous show awards and championships, including California State Champion for Palominos (PHBA). Heidi has shown and is a member of Palomino Horse Breeders Association (PHBA), American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and American Paint Horse Association (APHA).

Heidi specializes in Quarter Horses, Palominos, Paints and Thoroughbreds, though she has ridden and worked with almost all breeds. Horses are in Heidi's blood. Both sides of her family have been into horses. Her Grandfather, on her father's side, owned up until two years, one of the top Thoroughbred ranches in California. Heidi spent many of her childhood summers at her grandfather's ranch learning all about the horse racing industry. "My grandfather gave me great insight into the racing business. He is an excellent businessman, who has such a passion for breeding, raising, and training thoroughbreds. I would someday like to carry on with such a fine establishment."

On the other side of her family, her mother's side, have been breeding Palominos and Quarter Horses for generations. It started all with her Great Grandfather, who was the one to get her into the breeding of Quarter Horse Palominos. He owned one of the founding stallions of PHBA called Top Hat. He was dedicated to breeding top quality palominos with that perfect gold coin color and pure white manes and tails.

Her Mother was the big influence on my horse experience. "My mother is a very experienced horsewoman, who has taught me a lot about horses. My first experience on a horse was at the age of 6 months sitting in front of her on a horse." Heidi's Mother has taught kids all her life to ride horses. To this day, she is still teaching children to ride. Five days a week, two hours a day she works with 5 kids, ages 9 to 14, to teach them to ride. She doesn't just teach them to look good on horses, she teaches them the techniques and fundamentals on how to train horse. She does this all for free and only wants to pass on her experience, so that hopefully someday these kids will be trainers or vets. She is truly an amazing woman.

Heidi's recent activities include competing in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending. Also, she is currently breaking a two-year colt, to be used as a backup for Barrel Racing. She has also ridden in several parades, including the Rose Parade, which her family is also involved in. Heidi was also one of five people that rode in the Hollywood Bowl during a tribute to Gene Autry, no one has done that since.
